Fast Food Hamburger and Fries Taste Test – Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

We completed a taste test of five popular fast food joints to see which restaurant had the best hamburger and the best fries. Four adults (and one child) participated in this taste test. We ordered the most specialty hamburger that the restaurant currently offers. We rated the hamburger on juiciness, flavor, appearance, toppings, and bun. We rated the fries on crispiness, structure, and flavor.

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho has some great dessert restaurants. Panhandle Cone and Coffee, Abi’s, and Dockside are my go-to places for ice cream. If you want freshly made cobbler, go to Anthony’s. Birdie’s Pie Shop and Bean and Pie make great pies, and for cookies head to Crumbl and Woops. Davis Donuts makes the best donuts in town.

Hiawatha Trail – Montana Mountain Biking Adventure

The Hiawatha Trail is a 15-mile long downhill bike ride located in the Bitterroot Mountains near Lookout Pass on the Idaho / Montana border. Make sure to rent bikes ahead of time online and to buy your shuttle passes. Pack a picnic lunch and eat it on the trail. Ride through 10 old trail tunnels and experience gorgeous scenery. Bring a headlight to wear in the dark tunnels.
